Hollister Rally - 2003
This year's Rally was great!! The following was the assessment by our Host; Hollister Steve!
Well it was bigger and better this year. The news estimates more than 100,000 came through town. Downtown it was noticeable. Bikes lined the streets in the bikes only area and went for blocks further than last year past that! Pat Travers kicked ass. Honorable mention to the "fire ball girls". Greenwood Chevrolet even got into the act moving the cars from the front lot to make room for vendors and a band. The bowling alley had a burn out contest on top of vendors. Tres Pinos (just outside Bolado Park) had more going on. It was busy at "Rocky's" (a restaurant that just changed hands this year) with Johnny Lee Hooker Jr. playing. The weather wasn't as hot as threatened by the news. 80's-90's instead of 100's. A pretty perfect weekend. All had fun. Only 2 weeks, then we'll do it again at The REDWOOD RUN. Thanks for coming and see you next year. Hollister Steve Downers were the assholes at Bolado Park who let their dogs run loose shitting on every camp site around them. Why bring dogs to a bike event? Same folks were using their own kids as targets for bottle rockets at night. Go figure. Biggest downer was helmet thievery by assholes who pick up little girls and take helmets from those who were parked near them on east street by the H-D dealer. Scum.
It was a great time!! We were able to party with lots of old friends and meet some new friends. I hooked up with a couple of SSLB Brothers and the riding was great!! Click on the link to see the pictures that I took.
