Sturgis Rally 2001
What can be said... If you are a Biker, you need to make the pilgrimage at least once in your lifetime. This was my third trip to the Black Hills Rally. This will always be my most memorable trip. I had my Wife with me and the Crew of riders were great. We ended up with eight bikes and one pursuit vehicle. We encountered some challenges on the road and dealt with them. I am sure that Mark will go into detail about this on his and Joan's web site. Lizzy's Speedo says that she rode a total of 3,653 miles in 12 days. Life is good.... better if you can be in the wind. Here we go.. Getting ready at Flash and Cheech's in Sparks On the road to Sturgis... We decided to make a swing through Utah and visit Zion National Park. Desert rest stop Charlie lost in the desert Cheech desert Chris desert Mark desert Lizzy desert The first night we decided to camp at a KOA in Ely, Nevada. It was pretty cool... fours bucks a piece.. showers.. laundry room. We highly recommend KOAs for layovers.. We stayed at another one in Nevada or Utah or somewhere and it costed us five bucks a person. Bikes KOA Flash and Cheech Flash Rick Crew KOA Crew KOA again.. Back on the road again...
